Sources we use

• Holidays: Kerala Gazette notifications (General Administration Department).
• Festival rules: the conventions of Kerala panchangams, cross-checked against official holiday dates and announcements from temples and devaswoms.
• Astronomy: computed positions of the Sun and Moon, as described on how we calculate.

Labelling

We label information as official when it comes from a notification, calculated when we derive it, and expected when an official list is still awaited. We do not guess dates that depend on moon sighting.

Original writing

Festival guides are written for this site from general knowledge of Kerala customs and checked for accuracy. We do not copy text from other websites.

Updates

When a new government holiday list is published, usually in October or November, we update the next year's pages. Calendar data is regenerated whenever the site is rebuilt.

Corrections

Write to [email protected] with the page and your source. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly. If a correction changes a date, we note it on the page.
